Where are you located?
Alison Bakes Cakes is a registered home-based bakery in Fairfax, VA that adheres to Fairfax County Cottage Food Laws.
Do you offer shipping?
Unfortunately, shipping is not available (per VA Cottage Food Laws). All orders must be picked up from the Arlington (Bluemont neighborhood) or Fairfax (near George Mason University) pick up locations.
Do you provide local delivery?
Alison Bakes Cakes delivers wedding cakes only. All other orders must be picked up from the Arlington or Fairfax pickup locations.

When is payment due?
Custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit to be paid within 72 hours of the order invoice. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the pickup date. Any orders placed with less than 2 weeks lead time must be paid in full upon receipt of the order invoice.

Holiday pre-orders & cookie decorating class registration must be paid in full by the date specified on the order invoice.
Do you offer refunds?
I am able to refund and cancel your order up to 14 days prior to your pick up date less any specialty purchases that have already been made for your order (such as specific cookie cutters or cake/cupcake toppers). No refunds will be issued for cakes or cookies that have already been made.
Do you offer discounts for bulk orders?
Due to the custom work required for each cake and cookie, I am unable to extend discounts regardless of quantity. If you have a specific budget you are working with, feel free to let me know in advance and I'll do my best to offer you a solution that fits your budget.
Where do cookie decorating classes take place?
Classes are held at various locations in Falls Church & Fairfax. For details on a specific class, please visit my Classes page.
